How we work
It reads first. It asks before it acts.
Handing over work only works if you know exactly what will happen to it. These are the rules Genie follows in every Human product.

It starts by reading
Genie works from what you give it: the email you forward, the thread you copy it into, the document you have open. It does not go looking through your accounts.

It asks before it acts
When a step would do something, rather than just write something, Genie stops and asks. You approve it, or decline and say why, and it adjusts.

It asks when it's unsure
If something is missing, Genie stops and asks a question instead of guessing.

Nothing goes out in your name on the free plan
Free Genie replies only to you. Drafts come back for you to send yourself. Others on a thread can see its address, but never hear from it.

Autonomy is earned, one kind of action at a time
Coming with Genie's paid plans: Genie keeps going after you leave, and asks first by default before it contacts anyone. You choose what it may do on its own, as ask first, do it and tell me, or just do it. Nothing is switched on for you, and you can take it back.

Genie shows you the action and waits for your OK. The default for everything.

Genie acts, then tells you what it did.

Genie handles that kind of action quietly. You can still see everything it did.
The ladder comes with Genie's paid plans, which are coming soon. On the free plan, Genie always stays at ask first.

What happens to what you hand over
It is used to do the job you asked for. Inbox reads and sorts your mail, but doesn't send, reply or move anything in your name.
